Kobelco says its new SK140SRLC 7 excavator offers increased performance

Power comes from a 3litre Isuzu diesel that meets Stage V emissions compliance, while offering a 10% increase in output compared to the outgoing SK140SRLC 5 model. The performance increase ensures more power on gradients and delivers a drawbar pulling force of 140kN. The new hydraulic control system means that cycle time has been reduced by 10% compared with the previous model.

The cab is said to be ergonomic, with plenty of space, new controls and good all-round visibility. A colour monitor provides a clear view of important machine status information, menus and the views from three cameras supplied as standard equipment. The cameras provide rear and right-side images, as well as an eagle eye view.

Quick-hitch piping is fitted as standard on the SK140SRLC 7, increasing its versatility. The hydraulics allow the operator to select one of seven pre-set attachment modes including those for breaker, tilt rotator and bucket.

Another important feature is Kobelco’s integrated noise and dust reduction (iNDr) system. This reduces working noise onsite and also allows easy access to the air filter.
