Versatility and productivity are claimed for Liebherr’s new compact excavators
718 Liebherr is offering two new versatile excavators from its compact series. These are the A 910 Compact Litronic wheeled excavator and the R 914 Compact Litronic crawler excavator.

Both machines are designed for use in construction sites where working space is limited, such as on highway jobs or in urban areas. Productivity and versatility are key features of both, with a short tail swing design allowing operation close to buildings, highway barriers or earth banks.

The A 910 Compact complies with emissions stage IV and has a diesel oxidation catalyst and an SCR system. It is the smallest compact wheeled excavator from Liebherr. It features an operating weight of 11.8-12.8tonnes and with a short tail swing of only 1.6m and high digging forces, it offers additional application possibilities especially in restricted situations.

Power has been increased by 10kW over the model being replaced and the engine delivers 85kW, allowing high performance, while the diesel also offers high fuel efficiency. Other features include the largest cab in its class, proportional joystick controls and an optional automatic working brake.

Standard equipment on the A 910 Compact includes an offset boom with an overall length of 4m and 1.85m-long dipper stick. Customers can select the optional fully-automatic LIKUFIX quick coupler allowing fast changes for attachments or implements, without having to leave the cab. The undercarriage can have a single or divided blade or support pads at the back, while a support blade at the front is another option.

The R 914 Compact is the smallest of Liebherr's compact crawler excavators and has a tail swing of 1.55m. It is powered by an 80kW Deutz diesel that complies with Stage IIIB, allowing high digging and breakout forces. High productivity and efficiency are claimed, while the machine has a large cab with ergonomic controls.
