Doosan Bobcat is aiming its new backhoe loaders and DPP generators at the Middle East and African markets
Doosan Bobcat aims to develop its market presence in key emergent markets, with a focus on the Middle East and Africa in particular. Important launches for the firm are the new backhoe loader and DPP 20-60kVA generator models.

The four-model backhoe loader range all has power from a 4.4litre 299 Perkins 1104C-44T diesel that features direct fuel injection and delivers 74.5kW at 2200rpm and a maximum torque of 408Nm at 1350rpm. The models are the B700, B730, B750 and B780 and are said to be highly versatile, while delivering low operating costs due to low fuel/oil consumption. The machines can be used for diverse applications in construction, utility, rental, roadworks, demolition and excavation.

The machines are offered with a standard two-year powertrain warranty while this system is said to offer reliability and durability. Customers have a choice of four-speed synchroshuttle, powershift or auto powershift transmissions in the different models to meet various applications. Gear shifts are said to be smooth and precise to maximise fuel efficiency. Meanwhile top speed is 40km/h while the machines have added features and options such as return to dig, and ride control, for increased productivity.

All the models have an open centre hydraulics and are equipped with tandem gear pumps. These offer high flow capacities of 136litres/min in the B700 and 154litres/min in the B730, B750 and B780 models. An unloader valve is featured as standard on all the models as is the electrohydraulic differential lock, with a limited slip differential being used on the B730 and B750 models.  All new 1130 Bobcat backhoe loaders are supplied with class-leading 720 Michelin tyres.

Meanwhile DPP is offering a new range of four generators from 20-60kVA, which are available in both 50Hz and 60 Hz versions. The four new generators – the G20, G30, G45 and G60 – provide prime power outputs of 20, 30, 45 and 63kVA, respectively. All four units are available as open units (XF) or sound attenuated versions (XW). The 60Hz versions are also available in a range of voltages between 220V and 480V (Phase to Phase). The units are powered by proven 196 Cummins diesel engines and are covered by the best standard warranty on the market – two years and/or 4000 hours on the complete powertrain.

Sharing the same design and characteristics, the new generators are said to offer robustness and reliability, high performance and a wide choice of features. The standard frame-fuel tank configuration of the generators ensures autonomy of at least 15 hours at 75% of load.
