The firm says the new production strategy aims to meet Europe’s increasing demand as well as Chicago Pneumatic’s (CP) ambition to offer market-leading customer service and delivery times.

The decision to expand production capacity in mainland Europe saw CP manufacture its entire portable diesel compressor range for the European market from Antwerp in Q4 2013. In addition to being closer to its customers and partners in Europe, CP will now be able to offer custom-built portable compressor solutions with a wide variety of additional built-in options.

Models now manufactured in Antwerp include the CE approved CPS 2.5 – 5.5 m³/min range, suitable for a variety of applications from residential and commercial construction to demolition and road maintenance. All CP diesel compressor models feature robust and easy-to-maintain designs, including powerful European-sourced engines and proven compressor elements.

The enlarged production capability in Antwerp will also see CP tie up more closely with its distributor sales network in Europe, through which customers can access a full line of aftermarket products and maintenance services.
