1130 Bobcat has unveiled a new version of its T870 compact tracked loader. This now has a new torsion suspension undercarriage and replaces the earlier T870 model with its roller suspension system.

According to the firm, the torsion suspension undercarriage features torsion axles that dampen vibration, combining the comfort of roller suspension and the stability of a solid mount undercarriage. This is said to boost ride comfort as well as performance. The new T870 torsion suspension machine offers 10% more lift capacity than the previous model and is also available with a wide range of standard and optional features, and in a range of configurations to match emissions and specification requirements for all European, Middle East, Africa and Russia and CIS markets.

This 5.863tonne machine offers a lift capacity of 1.726tonnes. Key improvements for the machine include improved comfort and ride quality with reduced vibrations and noise inside the cab, increased stability with better grading and ground engagement and increased flotation as well as reduced ground pressure,. Benefits also include the highest lifting capacity in its class, increased uptime as well as increased productivity, durability and reliability.

Longer tracks provide increased flotation and reduced ground pressure, by increasing surface area and ground contact for better ride quality and improved performance in soft conditions.  The T870 loader is intended to run the most powerful attachments from Bobcat such as wheelsaws to cut trenches for cable/pipe laying (including the WS32 wheelsaw providing an 80cm dig depth) and the highly productive forestry cutter attachment. As well as working with these powerful attachments, the high productivity of the machine provides new solutions for other demanding applications such as shiptrimming, grading, lifting, planing, landscaping, trenching, rental, construction and demolition.
