Bobcat unveils T40180 telehandler

Bobcat’s new T40180 18m telehandler is the Doosan brand’s largest rigid frame telescopic handler, and, like Bobcat’s T40140 14m model, has increased maximum lifting height based on a new easy-to-use design said to provide class-leading efficiency and productivity backed by state-of-the-art safety systems. The T40180 has a 4tonne maximum lift capacity and a maximum lift height of 17.52m. The lift capacity at top lift height is 2.5tonnes, while at maximum reach of 13.7m, lift capacity is 560kg. Unloaded

Bobcat’s new T40180 18m telehandler is the 695 Doosan brand’s largest rigid frame telescopic handler, and, like Bobcat’s T40140 14m model, has increased maximum lifting height based on a new easy-to-use design said to provide class-leading efficiency and productivity backed by state-of-the-art safety systems.

The T40180 has a 4tonne maximum lift capacity and a maximum lift height of 17.52m. The lift capacity at top lift height is 2.5tonnes, while at maximum reach of 13.7m, lift capacity is 560kg.  Unloaded, the T40180 weighs 10.79tonnes and provides a crowding force of 12300daN.

For the T40140 telehandler, the maximum lift capacity is 4.1tonnes and the maximum lift height is 13.71m. The capacity at maximum lift height is 4tonnes, while at maximum reach of 10.43m, the capacity is 1.3 tonne.  Unloaded, the T40140 weighs 10.29 tonne and provides a tilt crowding force of 12300daN.

The new T40180 and T40140 models are said to deliver market leading load chart performance in their classes, when operating on tyres alone, where the high stability of the telehandlers ensures minimal loss of lift height and capacity.  As a result, the T40180 telehandler has a claimed unmatched maximum lifting height of 16.2m when operated on tyres, while the new T40140 model offers the highest lift capacity of 4.1tonnes.

The innovative, patented 1130 Bobcat side shift system is a standard feature on the T40180 and T40140 models, ensuring there is no need to reposition the machine if it is not aligned with an opening, providing maximum flexibility with a +/- 700mm side shift.  This is combined with an advanced integrated frame levelling system which works independently of the main frame to provide a tilt correction on inclined surfaces of +/- 4o on tyres and up to +/- 12o on stabilisers for safe, optimum positioning of loads.

Manitou has extended its MRT Easy range of rotating telehandlers with the MRT2145. Sitting above the existing MRT1840 with its 18m, 4tonne lift, the new MRT2145 offers a maximum lift height of 21m, and a 4.5tonne lift capacity. The increased capacity, said Manitou, is a result of using a new design of stabiliser that offers a wider footprint but retains a compact design when folded.
