Slovakia road repairs – tender to reopen

The tender process for a series of road repairs in Slovakia is being reopened, following problems with the original process.

The tender process for a series of road repairs in Slovakia is being reopened, following problems with the original process. The tendering will be handled by Slovakia’s road management company, SSC. The work is worth close to €200 million in all and involves repairs to 79 road sections. The contracts were supposed to be four year periods but the previous tender process had to be cancelled as the packages were not divided into smaller portions.

  • Italians to tender for Libyan project

    Work on the Libyan section of the North African coastal highway now looks set to go ahead. Two consortia from Italy are to tender for the pre-qualifying stage of the US$3 billion project. The highway will run some 1,700km from Libya's border with Tunisia all the way to the border with Egypt.     Bidding is underway in Slovakia for the R2 Krivan-Mytna expressway project, which is being handled by the local highway firm NDS. The deadline for bids opened in July 2018 and has been extended now for the second time. Bids will now be received until the 9th November 2018.
