New Zealand road repair programme planned

New Zealand is planning a programme of road repairs from now until March 2020. Over 1,200km of roads will be repaired under the plans.

New Zealand is planning a programme of road repairs from now until March 2020. Over 1,200km of roads will be repaired under the plans. US$99.8 million (NZ$155 million) has been budged for the work by the Ministry of Transport. Of this, the Waikato Region will benefit from the biggest investment in road repairs, with 431km of roads to be repaired at 559 locations. Work being carried out will include chip seal resurfacing and asphalt resurfacing.

    A programme of road repairs is due to commence in Russia’s capital, Moscow. A budget of US$ 615.5 million has been set for the works, which will be implemented throughout 2019. The majority of the funding is from the Moscow region. The plan calls for 2,400km of roads to be repaired, with an additional 20km of new links to be built.
