Liebherr has expanded its US headquarters

Liebherr has now opened its fully expanded US facility, located at Newport News in Virginia. This US$60 million site development project comes as the firm also celebrates its 50th year in the US market.

Development of the Newport News site has seen an area of 23,320m2 being added to the existing facilities. The firm’s US headquarters features a new 5,574m2 administrative building, a 7,454m2 workshop and training facility, a 8,363m2 parts distribution warehouse with retail operations, a guardhouse, and a 682m2 wash bay building.

The five new buildings cover a site of 21.14ha and increase Liebherr’s capabilities for training, product support, production, equipment preparation, and parts distribution for the nine different divisions within Liebherr USA’s operations.
