Hewden sets date for used plant and equipment auction online

Europe’s largest direct from user auction event, the Hewden August Auction, will be held August 12. The Hewden August auction features power tools, generators, power and lighting towers, amp welders and even 13tonne Caterpillar excavators. The auction comprises ex-rental machinery and cranes owned and operated from new by Hewden. Europe’s largest direct from user auction event, the 7522 Hewden August Auction, will be held August 12.

The Hewden August auction features power tools, generators, power and lighting towers, amp welders and even 13tonne 178 Caterpillar excavators. The auction comprises ex-rental machinery and cranes owned and operated from new by Hewden.

For those who cannot make the event in person, the auction is powered online by Proxibid, where the online provider’s fraud protection technology protects both buyers and sellers.

Since 2010 Hewden said it has invested more than US$46 million in new machinery as well as a Microsoft AX ERP system that went live in 2012.

At the beginning of 2014, 947 pieces of pieces equipment started to arrive into the business, including dumpers, tele-handlers, excavators, scissor lifts and booms. Hewden also took delivery of 14 new 7102 Tadano cranes of up to 130tonnes and the business expanded into accommodation provision.

Proxibid estimates that more than $2 billion in inventory passes through its marketplace annually, with more than 12,000 sales events take place each year.
