Eurobitume has a new president
Eurobitume has selected Francisco Lucas as its new president. Lucas is Repsol’s technical assistance and asphalt business development manager. He was elected Eurobitume President at the association’s recent annual general meeting.

Previously Eurobitume vice-president, Lucas is experienced bitumen and asphalt industry professional. He took over as Eurobitume president from TotalEnergies’ Frank Biel.

During his year-long term as president, his priorities include highlighting bitumen’s credentials as a sustainable construction material; ensuring Eurobitume continues to meet the needs of its members and stakeholders in a dynamic environment; and supporting the delivery of the 2nd E&E Event, which will take place in Vienna in November 2022.

He will also focus upon the importance of effective communications, so that the voice of the bitumen industry is heard, and continue to position Eurobitume as the first reference for bitumen in Europe.
