Serbia projects due for completion

Work is pushing ahead with the construction of the Corridor 10 and Corridor 11 highway projects in Serbia. Sections of the highway projects will be opened to traffic in 2017. All of Corridor 10 will be ready for use while the Obrenovac to Preljina stretch of Corridor 11 will open. Other road projects will commence including links running through Moravski and Fruskogorski. Work is pushing ahead with the construction of the Corridor 10 and Corridor 11 highway projects in Serbia. Sections of the highway projects will be opened to traffic in 2017.     A Chinese contractor looks likely to be building sections of the Corridor 11 highway in Serbia. This follows successful discussions between Serbia and China. These relate to the sections of Corridor 11 from Preljina to Pozega and from Pozega to Boljare that lead towards the border with neighbouring Montenegro.   • Serbia-Bosnia highway project funding being secured

    The necessary financing package for Serbia’s key highway project is now being secured. The Belgrade to Sarajevo highway is already under construction, with 60km of the link having been built so far. The existing section of the highway connects Obrenovac with Ljig, while work on the southern stretch of the route is due to commence shortly.     The authorities in Serbia are pushing ahead with plans for the Corridor 10 and Corridor 11 highways. Serbia's national state owned highway company, Koridori Srbije, has awarded the contract for advisory services for the €1.9 billion Corridor 10 project to French company Egis International. Under the terms of the deal Egis will provide support for construction of 83.4km of the E-80 highway between the City of Nis and the Bulgarian border at Dimitrovgrad.
