Paraguay’s new highway project receiving funding

Funding for a major highway project in Paraguay will be provided by Japan's International Co-operation Agency (JICA).

Funding for a major highway project in Paraguay will be provided by Japan's International Co-operation Agency (6706 JICA). The project will cost US$176 million and involves building a 147km connection between the town of Natalio and the Los Cedrales District. The bids for the contract were announced in April 2017.

    The authorities in Oman are setting out plans for a major new highway project to improve connectivity in the country. The tender process is underway for the project management contract for the Batinah Expressway. Oman's Ministry of Transport and Communications is inviting bids from consultancy firms to manage the project, which will be divided into six construction packages.     Funding has been found for a new beltway project in Vietnam. The work will be financed jointly by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV). The two have signed agreements for loans worth close to US$160 million for the project. ADB will provide a $12.58 million loan to finance preparation works for Beltway No3 in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.
