Paraguay’s new highway project receiving funding

Funding for a major highway project in Paraguay will be provided by Japan's International Co-operation Agency (JICA).

Funding for a major highway project in Paraguay will be provided by Japan's International Co-operation Agency (6706 JICA). The project will cost US$176 million and involves building a 147km connection between the town of Natalio and the Los Cedrales District. The bids for the contract were announced in April 2017.

    The World Bank is providing a US$133.54 million grant to Yemen. The funds will help pay for construction of the first phase of a 710km long highway. This new road will connect Sa’ada in the north of the country to the port city of Aden. The highway looks likely to be constructed in three phases.
