Indonesia is setting a massive infrastructure budget in place. Some US$29.52 billion will be invested in infrastructure under the 2017 budget. The country is planning to construct around 550km of new bridges and 9,400km of new roads.
Poland’s General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) is planning to spend US$151.37 million (€118.3 million) on winter-specific road maintenance for 2014/15.
Around 2,300 snowploughs and 1,300 salt trucks will be readied for winter work. GDDKiA also plans to install more than 1,400km snow-protection screens along roads.

A highly innovative bridge project is planned for Indonesia. A specialist firm from the Netherlands, Tidal Bridge, has been contracted to construct the new Pancasila Palmerah Bridge in East Nusa Tenggara. The project involves constructing a 1.3km suspension bridge that will span the Larantuka Strait and connect Flores with Adonara Island.
