Design for St Petersburg’s new highway ready

Preliminary design work for the Eastern High-Speed Radius construction project in St Petersburg has been completed. The project calls for the construction of a highway and a bridge between Fayansovaya Street and Zolnaya Street. The project will require an investment of some US$2.67 billion and is expected to be funded through private financial sources. Preliminary design work for the Eastern High-Speed Radius construction project in St Petersburg has been completed. The project calls for the construction of a highway and a bridge between Fayansovaya Street and Zolnaya Street.     Construction work on the Central Section of Russia’s Western High-Speed Diameter (WHSD) in St Petersburg is complete, with some small detail work now being finished off. The WHSD connects the Southern, Central and Northern sections of St Petersburg and will open to traffic at the end of December. VTB Capital was a key participant in funding the construction of the Central Section and is a major shareholder in the consortium that will operate the entire WHSD route.
