China’s road development continues in Guizhou Province

China’s Guizhou Province is carrying out a major programme of road network expansion and development works. In all the plan calls for the construction of 97,000km of rural roads, which are being built in a bid to boost connectivity. Funding is being provided by the Bank of Guizhou and Bank of Guiyang in the shape of a series of loans.

  • New Indonesian road links being planned

    The Indonesian Government plans to give a boost to its tourist trade with the construction of 5,000km of new road connections. These will be built by 2024 in a bid to improve transport and help develop the economy of areas currently without adequate road links.     Road in the area around Mindanao in the Philippines will benefit from the provision of a loan worth US$380 million. This funding package is being supplied by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The loan will be used for the Improving Growth Corridors in Mindanao Road Sector project. This is intended to improve and upgrade up to 280km of roads in the area. A further $123 million is being provided by the Philippines Government for the work, which will cost $503 million in all.
