China’s road development continues in Guizhou Province

China’s Guizhou Province is carrying out a major programme of road network expansion and development works. In all the plan calls for the construction of 97,000km of rural roads, which are being built in a bid to boost connectivity. Funding is being provided by the Bank of Guizhou and Bank of Guiyang in the shape of a series of loans.

    Russia’s Federal Road Agency (Rosavtodor) set out an ambitious plan of road development projects for 2018 and is achieving its target. Compared with 2017, Rosavtodor increased its programme of road development for 2018 by 19.5%.     China’s Liaoning Province is expanding its highway network with a programme of upgrades and new construction. By the end of 2015 Liaoning Province will have up to 4,500km of highways. The province is building some 2,600km of highways for the 2011-2015 period. In all there will be 20 new highways, with the work costing US$14.36 billion in all.
