China agrees road project funding with Serbia

Funding for a stretch of the Belgrade ring road project will now be delivered by Chinese sources. The €207 million deal has been agreed between the Serbian Ministry of Construction and the Power Construction Corporation of China. This funding will help with the completion of the 20km ringoad project as a portion of the work has already been carried out.

The loan facility for the work on the Corridor 11 highway project has now been extended for an additional two years. The total loan for the project is €308 million. The project is now due for completion in May 2018. The work is being carried out by Azerbaijan-based contractor Azvirt.
