Bosnia-Serbia highway project faces delays

Delays look set to hold back construction work on the planned highway that will connect Bosnia with Serbia. The route will join Bosnia’s capital Sarajevo with Bosnia’s capital Belgrade when it is complete.

Delays look set to hold back construction work on the planned highway that will connect Bosnia with Serbia. The route will join Bosnia’s capital Sarajevo with Bosnia’s capital Belgrade when it is complete. Further discussions will be carried out between the authorities in Bosnia and Serbia in due course to try to cement the plans for the highway. Funding for the project could be supplied, in part at least, from Turkey.

    A new highway connection between Serbia and Bosnia has been awarded to a Turkish contractor. The €250 million project will be carried out by the Turkish firm, Tasyapi. The project will see a new highway connecting Belgrade with Sarajevo in Bosnia.
