Bangladesh highway widening project to commence shortly

Widening work for a key highway link in Bangladesh will commence shortly. The work will be carried out on the 41km link from the Akhaura logistics centre to the river port of Ashungaj.

Widening work for a key highway link in Bangladesh will commence shortly. The work will be carried out on the 41km link from the Akhaura logistics centre to the river port of Ashungaj. The project is costing in excess of US$441 million. Completion of the work is expected in 2020. Much of the funding necessary for the construction work will come from India.

Work is starting on a highway project at Baise city in Guangxi Province as well as on the Malantun section of the Xintai-Tai'erzhuang highway in Shandong Province.
