With 3,661 lots for auction at one sale, it was a record for the firm, with the hammer price climbing 5% up on the previous high at the site. Strong bidding was claimed for the recent equipment sale held in Leeds by Euro Auctions
214 Euro Auctions experienced its strongest sale results ever at the recent unreserved auction at its site in Leeds in the UK.

With 3,661 lots for auction at one sale, it was a record for the firm, with the hammer price climbing 5% up on the previous high at the site. The sales strength of the auction shows the increasing demand for used plant in the market.

The number of registered bidders climbed by over 20% compared with the last Leeds sale in June of this year. In all 1,194 bidders registered for the sale from over 56 countries. Online bidding was brisk with over 22% of sales, and on this occasion 55% of equipment left UK to overseas buyers. In terms of volume, 75% of the bidders registered came from the UK, with 50% of that number purchasing.

UK based bidders purchased approximately 42% of the entire sale stock. Buyers in the Netherlands accounted for 9% of sales, those in Poland for 8%, buyers in Ireland for 7% and in Germany for 5% of sales.
