Machine manufacturers’ meeting in China

The T50 Summit of the World Construction Machinery Industry was held in Beijing towards the end of 2017. The event was jointly organised by China Construction Machinery Industry Association, the American Equipment Manufacturers Association (AEM) and Korea Construction Machinery Manufacturers Association. Because of its high profile, T50 is one of the most influential summits in the industry.

    The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) says that US construction machinery exports dropped 17.3% during the first half of 2014 compared with the same period for 2013. In all some US$8.93 billion in exports were shipped to global markets compared to $10.8 billion for first-half of 2013, according to US Department of Commerce data. The AEM off-road equipment manufacturing trade group produces global trends reports using US Commerce Dept. information to assist members’ business planning.

    Nine machine operators from China and Russia were given SDLG’s Top Driver award during the Beijing International Construction and Machinery Exhibition & Seminar (BICES). Six Chinese operators received the award, all of whom graduated with honours from the fifth Top Driver training programme, held at SDLG’s headquarters in Linyi, China.
