The new XAS27 compressor is Atlas Copco's most compact unit so far
161 Atlas Copco has launched its smallest portable air compressor, the XAS27. This unit is said to offer power, reliability and durability and delivers 27litres/s at pressures of up to 7bars. Compact in dimensions this is the first product in Atlas Copco's portable air compressor range to be powered by a petrol engine. The XAS27 weighs just over 200kg and has an undercarriage that allows the unit to be placed wherever it's needed, without involving any heavy lifting.

Power comes from a 2288 Honda petrol engine, which exceeds existing emissions regulations, drives Atlas Copco's new C55 compressor element through a V-Belt drive complete with a belt tensioning rail system. The XAS27 is simple to operate and easy to maintain. The XAS27 canopy features the successful polyethylene concept taken from the HardHat range. The fuel tank is part of the canopy and incorporates an electric fan for efficient cooling. With the hood open, the XAS 27 is easy to service, with access to the air oil separator, spin-on filter and all other filter units.
