Work underway on key Vietnam expressway project

Construction work is underway on Vietnam’s key Trung Luong-My Thuan expressway project. The rate of construction has been speeded up for the section located in Tien Giang Province. Funding issues had previously slowed the work. However a complete financing package has yet to be secured.

    Work on a key bridge link in Vietnam is behind schedule and the construction team will have to speed up work. Delays have hit the project to build the Vam Cong Bridge, which will span the Hau River.     Funding from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will help with the construction of a new tunnel as well as road links in Nepal. The US$168.56 million funding package comes in the shape of a loan to Nepal’s Government. This will be used to pay for the construction of a 2.5km tunnel that will link Nagdhunga with Naubise.
