Ukraine to boost motorway budget for 2016

The new prime minister of the Ukraine, Vladimir Groisman, said the government will boost spending on motorways from $563 million to nearly $750 million this year. A total of 1,700km of roads will be repaired or constructed. Some estimates suggest around 97% of motorways need sort form of repair work.

    In Ohio the authorities have set a budget worth US$120 million to improve bridges. The funding is being made available to local governments. The state’s Local Bridge Partnership Program is adding 10 additional bridges to a program that is already improving or replacing 220 bridges in local communities across the state.
