TREV-2 to start a new section of Estonia’s Tallinn-Tartu highway

Estonia’s Road Administration and infrastructure company. TREV-2 Grupp has signed a €51 million contract for construction of a new four-lane section of highway between Kose and Ardu. The work will shorten the length of the of the Tallinn-Tartu highway by around 5km. The construction is scheduled in August 2017 with completion in 2020. The new section will allow speeds of up to 120kph, according to the government.

TREV-2 Grupp has signed a €51 million contract for construction of a new four-lane section of highway between Kose and Ardu.

The work will shorten the length of the of the Tallinn-Tartu highway by around 5km.

The construction is scheduled in August 2017 with completion in 2020. The new section will allow speeds of up to 120kph, according to the government.

Civil engineering TREV-2 Grupp is based in Tallinn. Principal activities are construction of roads, bridges and railways, road maintenance, environmental construction and the extraction of mineral resources. The company employs about 360 people.

In March this year, BaltCap, a major private equity and venture capital enterprise in the Baltic region, acquired an additional 38% of the shares of TREV-2 Grupp from East Capital Explorer. The deal gave BaltCap a majority holding of nearly 75% inTREV-2 Grupp.

In April, Sven Pertens took over as chairman of TREV-2 Grupp. He was formerly chief executive of 3064 Lemminkäinen Estonia, part of the Finnish infrastructure group Lemminkäinen.
