Thailand’s latest expressway deals being arranged

Chinese companies look likely to play key roles in major expressway construction projects in Thailand. The Rama III-Dao Khanong-Western Bangkok Outer Ring Expressway project is being handled in four separate sections, with the deals being finalised in September 2019. Major Chinese contractors are amongest the leading bidders for three of the four sections.

Costing an estimated US$1.16 billion, the tender process for the Bang-pa-in-Nakhon Sawan motorway project is expected to commence in 2019. There will be four lanes city-bound and four/five lanes westbound with dedicated bus lanes in each direction, and the existing North-western cycleway that runs alongside it will be upgraded.
