Skanska to Slovakia’s D1 motorway for €214 million

Skanska has won a contract with the National Highway Authority (NDS) to extend the 14.4km long motorway D1 in eastern Slovakia. The new motorway will include 23 bridges and four viaducts, along with required noise protection. Another R2/R4 express road will also be extended.

2296 Skanska has won a contract with the 3577 National Highway Authority (NDS) to extend the 14.4km long motorway D1 in eastern Slovakia.

The new motorway will include 23 bridges and four viaducts, along with required noise protection. Another R2/R4 express road will also be extended.

Financing will come from the European Regional Development Fund's project OP Integrated Infrastructure 2014-2020 and Slovakia’s state budget. Construction is expected to start in November and take three years.
