Serbia and China discuss Preljina-Boljare section of Corridor XI

Serbia is in talks with China for construction of the Preljina - Boljare section of the pan-European Corridor XI. The section will connect Corridor XI to Corridor X. Corridor XI will run from the Montenegrin port of Bar to Belgrade and on to Bucharest, Romania. Corridor X links Salzburg, Austria, with the Greek Aegean port of Thessaloniki port, via Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia and Macedonia. This includes the construction of a motorway bypass of Belgrade.

Serbia is in talks with China for construction of the Preljina - Boljare section of the pan-European Corridor XI.

The section will connect Corridor XI to Corridor X. Corridor XI will run from the Montenegrin port of Bar to Belgrade and on to Bucharest, Romania.

Corridor X links Salzburg, Austria, with the Greek Aegean port of Thessaloniki port, via Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia and Macedonia. This includes the construction of a motorway bypass of Belgrade.

    The Serbian government has reported that it is planning to sign a loan agreement with China's Exim Bank for new loans worth US$ 1.1 billion for construction of the Corridor 11 motorway. Minister of Finance, Mladan Dinkic, said that the loan will be used for construction of the Belgrade-Ljig and Pojate-Preljina motorway parts.     Italian contractor Astaldi, as part of a joint venture, has won a €100 million contract to build of motorway in Romania. The contract is 18km of the Brasov–Oradea section of the partially built A3 Autostrade, a 584km route that runs north to south, from the border with Hungary to the capital Bucharest.   • Serbia to tender for Nis-Pristina motorway by end of 2018

    The first tender for construction of the Nis-Pristina motorway could be called by the end of his year, according to Zorana Mihajlovic, Serbia’s minister of construction. Value of the first phase of the project is estimated at €240 million. Around 20% of the amount will be financed from aid, while the remainder will be secured by the EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development) and the EIB (European Investment Bank).
