Several important Russian road projects are being planned at present, with a number of major contracts also having been awarded.

A division of the Avtodor Group, DZOK, has the contract to build the seventh phase of the M-12 Moscow-Kazan highway. The contract is worth some US$550.5 million and will run through the Chuvash Republic (Volga) and the Republic of Tatarstan. This 117km stretch of the highway should be ready by mid-2024.

In all, the M-12 Moscow-Kazan highway is costing some $6.54 billion to build and the project has been split into nine separate phases. Funding for the project is being sourced through the Russian Federal Government. The highway will form part of the Europe - Western China International Transport Corridor (EWC ITC). Other contractors handling different sections of the M-12 project include Stroytransgaz, Transstroyinvest, Avtoban, VAD, Transstroymekhanizatsiya, and CRCC Rus.

In addition, work is being planned for the Tolyatti bypass, which will include building a bridge spanning the Volga River.
