Romania receives upwards of 20 tenders for Craiova-Pitesti highway

Romania’s National Company for the Administration of Road Infrastructure has received 20 tenders for two segments of the Craiova-Pitesti highway.

Romania’s National Company for the Administration of Road Infrastructure has received 20 tenders for two segments of the Craiova-Pitesti highway.


Both will be around 57km long and are estimated to be worth around €435 million.

Companies that have tendered include Astaldi, Vahostav, Alsim Alarko Sanayi Tesisleri ve Ticaret, the joint venture (JV) Constructii Erbasu - Vahostav SK - Trameco, Secol Societa Edile Costruzioni e Lavori SA - Secol Romania - Tirrena Scavi JV and Spedition UMB - Tehnostrade - Consitrans JV.

The Craiova-Pitesti highway will have lanes be part of the Pan European Corridor IV.

    The authorities in Romania are launching the tender process for a new highway section. The country’s national roads and highways company,CNADNR, is handling the tenders for the project, which involves designing and building a 9km section of the Transilvania Highway between Gilau and Nadaselu in Cluj county.
