Romania is planning a massive programme of transport infrastructure improvements. A budget of €17 billion has been set for the work being planned for the 2021-2027 period.

This compares with the €5.6 billion budget for transport infrastructure improvements, including highway construction and upgrades as well as rail link developments, in the 2014-2020 period. The programme is intended to see 1,700km of highways being constructed.

    In China’s Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, Zhejiang Province and Hunan Province, major infrastructure investment plans are being drawn up for 2013.
