Romania is planning a series of transport improvements.

Romania is planning a massive programme of transport infrastructure improvements. A budget of €17 billion has been set for the work being planned for the 2021-2027 period.

This compares with the €5.6 billion budget for transport infrastructure improvements, including highway construction and upgrades as well as rail link developments, in the 2014-2020 period. The programme is intended to see 1,700km of highways being constructed.
