Ritchie Bros planning major equipment auction in US

Equipment auction specialist Ritchie Bros is planning a huge sale of used equipment in the US state of North Carolina in September 2012. This unreserved sale of equipment includes no less than 60 Caterpillar D11 bulldozers as well as 20 other bulldozers. Equipment auction specialist 318 Ritchie Bros is planning a huge sale of used equipment in the US state of North Carolina in September 2012. This unreserved sale of equipment includes no less than 60 178 Caterpillar D11 bulldozers as well as 20 other bulldozers. Also up for auction are over 30 large wheeled loaders and over 35 Caterpillar 777 trucks, as well as graders and other items of machinery. This particular sale is of note as the 60 D11 bulldozers are more than the firm has sold of this model over the last four years. The sale will be held on September 27th, 2012 and is the opening auction for the firm’s new permanent auction site in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina. The auction will handle over 180 pieces of heavy equipment. The unreserved public auction is set to take place one day after the completion of MINExpo International 2012 in Las Vegas. The equipment is being sold by West Virginia based Trinity Coal Corporation, which is selling off units it no longer requires for its operations. Some of the Caterpillar units are currently undergoing a refurbishing process in preparation for the September auction. All powertrain and undercarriage updates are being carried out by authorised CAT dealers. Among the more than 560 items up for grabs were 20 articulated dump trucks; 25 wheeled loaders; seven motor graders; 14 hydraulic excavators; and five front shovels.
