The QMJ Group is expanding its portfolio with the acquisition of the UK Concrete Show

The UK Concrete Show has been acquired by The QMJ Group, organisers of the Hillhead quarry machinery exhibition. The move will add the UK concrete show to The QMJ Group portfolio, boost its position as a UK event organiser for the quarrying and construction sector.

Richard Bradbury, managing director of The QMJ Group, explained: “We are very excited to take over the UK’s longest-serving and only dedicated trade show for the concrete industry in the UK and Ireland.”

He explained that a range of new initiatives will be introduced to the marketplace over the coming months. These will include the launch of ‘Concrete Connect’, a dedicated digital news site for the industry, and a new show website that will bring visitors and exhibitors closer together.

Bradbury continued: “QMJ will also be able to draw on the extensive market intelligence their consultancy business, BDS, has provided to the concrete sector for the last 30 years.”

Marianne Callaghan, former owner of The UK Concrete Show, commented: “We are thrilled to be able to pass The UK Concrete Show on to the QMJ Group, who are ideally placed to build on its success through the obvious synergies that they will deliver from their existing events and media channels.”

The 12th UK Concrete Show returns to the NEC Birmingham from 20–21 March 2024.
