Proposal for Thailand motorway link

Proposals are being put forward for a major motorway project in Thailand. Costing an estimated US$1.16 billion, the tender process for the Bang-pa-in-Nakhon Sawan motorway project is expected to commence in 2019. The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the project is due to start in due course. Another motorway project planned is for the Hat Yai-Sadao link. This last will be carried out under the PPP model and tendering is expected to commence in 2018.

  • Thailand plans PPP projects

    The Thailand Government aims to review plans for a series of PPP infrastructure projects in the first half of 2016. Should the projects get the go ahead, bidding processes would then commence in the second half of 2016. The planned PPP projects include the construction of two major highways.     The Thai government has prioritised the construction of five roads worth US$9.27 billion (THB 267bn) and totalling 705km in length by 2020.
