Prices strong at Euro Auctions as A-Plant sale in Leeds

Euro Auctions reported that it has held the largest one-owner sale in the UK this year, for Ashtead Plant Hire (A Plant) selling more than 800 lots. 214 Euro Auctions reported that it has held the largest one-owner sale in the UK this year, for Ashtead Plant Hire (A Plant) selling more than 800 lots.

The auction, held in the city of Leeds on July 22, was the fourth sale that Euro Auctions has conducted for 6264 A-Plant and customers were bidding from more than 40 countries. More than 33% of bidding activity was online.

David Betts, from Euro Auctions, said the sale catalogue consisted of more than 45 excavators, over 25 rollers, 70 tele-handlers, 80 dumpers, 90 man lifts, 50 generators, 80 compressors, as well as over 300 small lots.

Prices across all categories were strong and exceeded expectation by on average by 10% or more in what has been seen as a falling market. Notable prices achieved included nearly €10,000 for a 2008 Benford 1tonne dumper and almost €4,000 for a 2008 Genset MGZ 20KVA generator.

Euro Auctions is based in Dromore, Northern Ireland, but has businesses in Dormagen in Germany, Zaragoza in Spain, Brisbane in Australia and Atlanta in the United States.
