Power China wins more Belgrade ring road work

Serbia has signed a deal with Power China to construct the Ostruznica-Bubanj Potok section of the capital Belgrade’s ring road.

Serbia has signed a deal with Power China to construct the Ostruznica-Bubanj Potok section of the capital Belgrade’s ring road.


The next tender for ring road construction will be the 31km Bubanj Potok-Vinca-Pancevo section.

Serbia’s ministry of construction estimates that the value of Chinese contracts in the country is just over €2 billion, but that could rise to around €6 billion with help from the 3422 Chinese Exim Bank.

The 851km section of highway runs through Mato Grosso state and the deal is worth some US$2 billion, according to a report by Business News Americas.     Infrastructure Malta, the government’s road agency, is putting out to tender contracts for the upgrade of 170 residential roads worth around €70 million. The work is divided into six contracts and covers a total of 52km of roads as well as 85km of pavement/sidewalks, signage and where necessary stormwater improvements.
