Philippines toll road deal reached

The first three stretches of the Cavite-Laguna Expressway in the Philippines should be open to traffic by the end of October 2019. Around 10,000 vehicles/day are expected to use the three stretches when they open. The 45km route is costing US$653.4 million to develop. When it is fully commissioned in the second quarter of 2022, will cut journey times between CAVITEx and SLEx to 45 minutes, compared with 150 minutes that it has taken to travel previously.
