Peru highway projects being carried out

Work for Peru’s Anillo Vial Periferico ring road project is underway at present. The project is costing an estimated US$2.4 billion. Meanwhile a loan worth US$350 million has been agreed for the Pativilca-Trujillo toll road project. This will be used to finance additional construction works for the project. The loan will be for a five year period.

    Contracts worth a combined value of more than US$2.5billion have been awarded for two major Canadian highway construction projects. Spanish building firm, ACS, has been awarded a US$1.52billion contract to construct a new 27km eight-lane motorway. The contract also includes the operating of the road for 30 years.     The Peruvian investment promotion agency ProInversion says that it will not award contracts for all of the projects programmed for 2016. These are worth a total of US$1.29 billion and focus on transport and communications.
