New highway project proposed for the Philippines

Plans have been drawn up in the Philippines for Cavite-Tagaytay-Batangas Expressway (CTBEx) project. The Metro Pacific Group submitted its proposals for the expressway to the Department of Public Works and Highways. The US$440.2 million expressway will improve the link from Cavite to Nasugbu and Tagaytay. The Metro Pacific Group hopes to receive the necessary approvals for the project by the end of 2017.

The proposed NLEx-Cavitex Port Expressway Link will provide a connection between the North Luzon Expressway and Manila-Cavite Expressway. The project to build the link is expected to cost US$1.73 billion, with work being carried out in three stages of 5.7km, 4.8km and 4.6km.     Work is due to commence in 2017 on the new Cavite-Laguna Expressway in the Philippines. This 47km route will run along the coast to the south of capital Manila, with its north eastern end lying close to the city’s international airport. The route connects Cavitex in Cavite's Kawit with the SLEx-Mamplasan Interchange in Laguna's Biñan.
