New bridge project to be built in Argentina

A new bridge project is being planned in Argentina. The new link will connect Parana and Santa Fe. Rivers to be crossed between Parana and Sante Fe include the Parana River, the Colastine River and the Sante Fe River, although it is not yet clear which route will be used. The project is expected to cost from US$600-800 million. This will be included in the Argentinian Government’s 2019 budget. The tender process may commence in October 2018. The work will be carried out under the PPP model.

    Columbia’s National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) will help finance construction of the Toyo tunnel in Antioquia.     Tendering is being opened out for a new dual carriageway connection in Argentina, located just to the south of Mendoza. The 25km link will provide an improved link between Route 7 and Route 40, joining the towns of Palmira and Agrelo. The project is expected to cost close to US$151 million, with financing being provided by the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB). The new dual carriageway will reduce journey times between Palmira and Agrelo.

This new link will connect the M-5 and M-7 highways, close to the city of Ufa and the project is expected to cost US$1.12 billion to carry out.
