New Argentina dual carriageway project

Tendering is being opened out for a new dual carriageway connection in Argentina, located just to the south of Mendoza. The 25km link will provide an improved link between Route 7 and Route 40, joining the towns of Palmira and Agrelo. The project is expected to cost close to US$151 million, with financing being provided by the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB). The new dual carriageway will reduce journey times between Palmira and Agrelo.

Tendering is being opened out for a new dual carriageway connection in Argentina, located just to the south of Mendoza.     Funding has been secured for a series of road works in Argentina. The Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) is providing US$300 million in the shape of a loan for work on a number of key routes. The road projects being targeted include Routes 6 and Route 8 in Rio Negro; Route 23 in Villa Elisa; the Gualeguaychu ring-road; Route 1 in Catamarca. Meanwhile the finance package forms part of a much wider plan from the IADB to develop infrastructure in Argentina.
