Michigan State road development budget

Michigan Senate in the US is increasing its 2018 road upgrade budget by US$175 million. This comes in addition to the $600 million already budgeted for road upgrade works. Michigan has already set a road improvement budget for the 2019 fiscal year of $750 million. In addition the state has budgeted for a further $1.2 billion/year for roads in the future. This will be made available in 2021.

The New Zealand Government has identified 870km of roads that suffer high crash rates and which are in need of safety upgrades.     Kazakhstan has set a budget for road repairs of nearly US$167 million in a bid to ensure that its network remains in good condition. The country has set a target to repair and maintain around 5,000km of local roads/year. In 2017 around 2,000km of roads of national importance were repaired, while 1,800km of roads of national importance will be repaired in 2018.
