May finish for Slovakia’s Zvolenska Slatina to Pstrusa R2 section

Completion of the R2 in south central Slovakia between the towns of Zvolenska Slatina and Pstrusa will be delayed until May, local media report. The 7.8km project, including seven bridges, is worth €82.3 million and is being carried out by the consortium of construction companies Chemkostav IS and Corsan Corviam Construccion. When finished the R2 will stretch around 305km from east to west.

Completion of the R2 in south central Slovakia between the towns of Zvolenska Slatina and Pstrusa will be delayed until May, local media report.

The 7.8km project, including seven bridges, is worth €82.3 million and is being carried out by the consortium of construction companies Chemkostav IS and Corsan Corviam Construccion.

When finished the R2 will stretch around 305km from east to west.

    Construction has started on the €117 million bridge over the Danube River between the Hungarian town of Komarom and the Slovak town of Komarno. Around 85% of the cost will be covered by European Union’s Connecting Europe Facility. Completion is planned for winter 2019. Last summer it was announced that the Hungarian companies Hidepito and Meszaros es Meszaros had won the tender for the 600m bridge but with a price tag of just over €91 million, according to Hungarian media.
