Official approval has been given by the Latvian Government for the Kekava bypass project. The project will be carried out under the PPP model.

Plans are now being drawn up for the project. The bypass will feature two lanes in either direction as well as a number of bridges and udnerpasses.

The Latvian Transport Ministry has yet to finalise the tender process for the project. However, this looks set to go ahead shortly. The finance package for the project will be secured also in due course.
