Kuwait is setting out plans for road development projects

The Kuwaiti Government is setting out an ambitious programme of road infrastructure development. The authorities have set a budget of US$13.25 billion which will be spent on 24 new road projects. The ministry of public works is already developing Kuwait’s infrastructure system and currently has 25 road and bridge projects being built. These current projects have a total value of $8.58 billion.

    Russia’s Federal Road Agency (Rosavtodor) set out an ambitious plan of road development projects for 2018 and is achieving its target. Compared with 2017, Rosavtodor increased its programme of road development for 2018 by 19.5%.   • Albanian roads upgrade reduces journey times

    Albania’s road network will benefit from three new links being built during 2010. These will connect capital Tirana and Klos, Tirana and Elbasan as well as Berat and Tepelena. The new roads will help cut journey times substantially by as much as 50-70% overall. Once the new link is built between Tirana and Elbasan, journey time will be around 20-25 minutes and this project has been designed by an Italian company.
