Ivory Coast infrastructure development programme

Funding from the African Development Bank will help finance infrastructure development work in Côte d'Ivoire. In all US$483.56 million in financing will be used to improve transport infrastructure between capital Abidjan and the border with Ghana. Roads and urban transport will be improved as part of the programme of works. A new bridge will also be built betwee the Abidjan suburbs of Yopougon and Attécoubé.

    Financing has been found to pay for road upgrade projects in Ivory Coast. The Morocco-based banking business Banque Centrale Populaire (BCP) will provide nearly US$183 million for improvement works to two stretches of highway. The funding will allow the Kokonou to Apprompronou road to be resurfaced with asphalt. Meanwhile the road running from Yamoussoukro through Bouaflé to Daloa will also be improved.
