Internet auction firm IronPlanet plans to sell over 270 items of construction, materials handling and agricultural equipment in its January 26th online auction. Equipment for sale includes excavators, loaders, dump trucks, backhoe loaders, compactors, telehandlers, forklifts, tractors and generators. Internet auction firm Iron Planet plans to sell over 270 items of construction, materials handling and agricultural equipment in its January 26th online auction. Equipment for sale includes excavators, loaders, dump trucks, backhoe loaders, compactors, telehandlers, forklifts, tractors and generators. The equipment is located throughout Europe and includes machines such as a 2010 233 Hitachi ZX280 crawler excavator, a 178 Caterpillar 160H Motor Grader, two 2003 1222 Terex TR70 dump trucks, a 2007 Caterpillar 319CL crawler excavator and a 2006 Caterpillar 321CL crawler excavator. During the online auction, equipment and vehicles will be sold to the highest bidder. Prior to auction day, registered bidders can place bids through IronPlanet's PriorityBid service, which will automate bidding on the buyer's behalf if the buyer is not able to attend the auction. The system benefits both sellers and buyers, offering visibility for the auction process, reducing transport costs and providing inspection reports for all items of equipment.

    Ritchie Bros. was today due to stage its latest American unreserved public auction of construction equipment in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina.
